Kathy McConnell is a senior security and risk management professional with more than 20 years of experience at the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Throughout her career, she led national security investigations, counterintelligence operations, and critically sensitive programs, building extensive expertise in insider threat detection, behavioral threat assessment, crisis management, and cross-border intelligence partnerships.
Her experience also includes leading complex, multi-year investigations involving counterterrorism, theft of trade secrets, espionage, and other national security matters. She has supervised multidisciplinary teams while coordinating sensitive operations with domestic and international partners, providing valuable insight into managing high-risk and complex security environments.
Beyond investigative leadership, Kathy has designed and governed enterprise-wide compliance and risk programs, developed investigative playbooks and KPI frameworks, and delivered training for frontline personnel, executive leadership, diplomatic staff, and international law enforcement partners.
