The first half of 2026 has been an important period of growth, development, and consolidation for Lares Risk Management International.
From January to June, we have continued to build our international platform, strengthen our regional presence, expand our service offering, and invest in the people and partnerships that will support the next stage of our growth.
As a company operating across an increasingly complex global risk environment, our focus remains clear: to provide practical, discreet, and professional risk management support to clients who require trusted advice, regional access, and operational capability.
Strengthening Our Team
One of the most important developments during the first half of the year has been the continued growth of our team.
LRM was pleased to welcome Sherman Bonofacio as Director for the Benelux region, further strengthening our European leadership and regional client support.
We formally announced Sudarat (Sue) Intaraprapong’s appointment as Marketing Manager, supporting our brand development, communication, and market positioning as we continue to expand internationally.
In addition, Saima Mehta and OMKAR MISHRA joined us as interns, reflecting our continued commitment to developing future talent within the security and risk management industry.
Building a strong company requires more than expanding services. It requires capable people, clear ownership, and a shared commitment to delivery. Our team’s growth during the first half of 2026 is an important part of that foundation.
Expanding Our Services and Regional Platforms
The first six months of the year also saw several important services and platform developments.
LRM launched Lares Risk Academy, focused on executive risk training, security capability development, and organizational resilience programs. This initiative allows us to support clients beyond operational delivery by helping them build internal preparedness, leadership confidence, and long-term resilience.
We expanded our presence in Vietnam, with the establishment of a new office in Ho Chi Minh City, supporting clients across the market while further developing our local service offering. As part of this development, we introduced the Family Office Security Program, designed to provide structured and discreet security support for family offices, private clients, and high-net-worth individuals.
In Europe, Lares Risk Management International established Lares Risk Management Europe B.V., creating a dedicated platform to support clients across increasingly complex European operating environments.
We also announced a strategic partnership designed to expand Lares Risk Management International’s regional and global support capability, combining risk management, security advisory, operational coordination, and medical management support for clients operating in complex environments.
Another important initiative was the launch of Lares Infrastructure Resilience, developed together with Verhoek Project Solutions B.V. This platform expands our capability in infrastructure resilience and supports clients facing complex challenges linked to continuity, critical infrastructure, and operational risk.
Delivering Practical Client Outcomes
Growth only matters when it creates value for clients. During the first half of 2026, LRM delivered a broad range of advisory, operational, and protective assignments across Asia and Europe, supporting clients with practical decision-making, secure movement, operational resilience, and business continuity.
Across Vietnam, LRM supported both corporate and private client requirements. For an international manufacturer, the team delivered counterparty risk advisory, commercial relationship assessment, due diligence, and local market intelligence, helping the client better understand its commercial exposure, stakeholder environment, and local operating context. The team also supported a private client delegation with multi-city executive protection and secure transportation, combining discreet protective coverage, local liaison, and coordinated logistics to ensure safe and seamless movement throughout the visit.
In India, LRM supported clients with travel risk and industrial relations advisory. This included a hotel risk assessment that identified gaps between visible security measures and real-world exposure, including zoning challenges, CCTV coverage limitations, and emergency route accessibility concerns. LRM also supported an industrial relations risk assessment for a global manufacturer, reviewing stakeholder dynamics, labor conditions, political environment factors, and wider operational risk. Together, these engagements helped clients move from assumption-based planning to more informed, risk-based decision-making.
Through Lares Infrastructure Resilience (LIR), the group expanded its support across cyber resilience, operational technology, and infrastructure advisory. This included supporting a global organization with the development of its cyber framework and operating model vision for the coming years as part of a wider Operational Technology (OT) cybersecurity program.
LIR also provided specialist OT architecture support for a company operating across circular waste value chains. The role sits at the intersection of operational technology, IT, business operations, and management, connecting business groups with central IT and operational leadership. The engagement focuses on safeguarding OT architecture, strengthening IT and OT alignment, translating strategy into secure and scalable solutions, improving standardization, strengthening risk control, assessing emerging technologies, and creating long-term value within complex industrial environments.
Operationally, LRM delivered secure transportation, executive movement support, and protective security across several requirements in Thailand. This included travel management for an executive group in Bangkok, covering hotel transfers, business engagements, leisure activities, and ad-hoc movements across the city. The assignment required coordinated logistics, flexible scheduling, and seamless support across multiple concurrent movements.
The team also provided regional VIP travel support across Thailand and Vietnam, combining executive protection, secure transportation, local language capability, and dedicated vehicle support across several business and leisure destinations. The assignment reinforced the value of a coordinated regional operating model, ensuring consistent standards, trusted local support, and seamless delivery across borders.
In Bangkok, LRM was further engaged at short notice to provide immediate protective security and continuous coverage for a corporate office requirement. Close Protection Officers were deployed on rotating shifts to support the safety of the individual and maintain business continuity. The assignment demonstrated LRM’s ability to mobilize experienced personnel quickly and effectively in response to urgent operational requirements. Another special assignment involved supporting a client with discreet digital forensics assistance, including evidence preservation, forensic review, and secure cross-border coordination of sensitive case materials.
These assignments reflect the core value of LRM’s operating model: combining local access, regional coordination, and practical risk management expertise to help clients make better decisions, move safely, and maintain continuity in complex environments.
Staying Connected to the Industry
The first half of 2026 included strong engagement across industry events and professional forums.
LRM was represented at TAPA EMEA in Germany, where cargo security and supply chain resilience were key topics. We also participated in SJUK Leaders in Security in Manchester, business meetings in Jakarta, OSAC India, IPSB Singapore, and OSAC Ho Chi Minh City.

These engagements are an important part of how we build trusted relationships, remain connected to regional developments, and continue contributing to the wider security and risk management community.
In March, we held our team meeting in Bangkok, bringing colleagues together to align priorities, strengthen internal coordination, and continue building a unified international operating model.

As our footprint grows, maintaining alignment across regions is essential. Clients expect consistency, responsiveness, and quality regardless of where support is delivered. That requires internal coordination, shared standards, and a clear understanding of where we are heading as a company.
Supporting the Wider Professional Community
We are proud to sponsor the ASIS Foundation Fitness Challenge.
For us, this was more than a sponsorship. It reflected a belief that resilience is both organizational and personal. Security and risk management professionals often operate under pressure, across time zones, and in demanding environments. Physical and mental resilience remain essential parts of professional performance.
Supporting initiatives that promote health, discipline, and professional community engagement aligns closely with our values as a company.
Looking Ahead
The first half of 2026 has created a strong foundation for the remainder of the year.
LRM has expanded our team, strengthened our regional platforms, launched new initiatives, developed strategic partnerships, and delivered practical client outcomes across several markets.
There is still a great deal of work ahead. Building an international risk management company requires patience, consistency, and discipline to do the fundamentals well. At the same time, it also requires innovation, adaptability, and the ability to move quickly when opportunities arise.
As we look toward the second half of 2026, our focus remains on building a stronger, more integrated, and more capable platform for our clients, partners, and team members.
Thank you to our colleagues, clients, partners, and wider network who have supported us during the first half of the year.
The momentum is strong, and we are only getting started.
